SINGLE MANURE BELT

Lower emissions without compromising breeder performance. The VDL Single Manure Belt combines frequent manure removal with a low design, helping breeder farms reduce ammonia and fine dust emissions while maintaining easy bird access to the slatted floor and nests.

How does it work?

The system is designed for efficient manure removal beneath the slatted floor. During operation, the drive unit rolls up the manure belt at a speed of up to 5 metres per minute. As the belt is wound onto the roll, scrapers remove the manure from the belt surface. The manure is then transferred onto a FloorBelt or shaped through a manure belt, which transports it out of the poultry house for further handling. Afterwards, the manure belt is pulled back into place.

REDUCING EMISSIONS AND IMPROVING HOUSE CONDITIONS
Frequent manure removal eliminates the need for a manure pit. Compared to traditional manure pit, this helps reduce ammonia and fine dust emissions, contributing to a healthier house environment for both birds and farmer.

When combined with manure belt aeration, the system can significantly increase the dry matter content of the manure. This reduces volume, supports more sustainable manure management, and helps lower manure disposal costs.

DESIGNED FOR BREEDER FARMS
Many manure handling solutions require a higher than optimal slatted floor. The VDL Single Manure Belt is specifically designed with a low system height, allowing a low slat height while keeping the angle of the slats low.

With a step-up height of only 30 cm, birds can easily access the slatted area, preventing floor eggs and supporting natural bird movement through the house.

EASY CLEANING BETWEEN FLOCKS
The unique roll-up design allows the manure belt to be completely removed from under the slatted floor. This keeps the floor beneath it fully accessible for cleaning and maintenance between flocks.

Difference Continuous Manure Belt and Single Manure Belt

The difference is that the Continuous Manure Belt is an (infinite) circular belt and the Single Manure Belt can be rolled up. Because the belt can be rolled up, the floor under the manure belt can be cleaned easily and properly when the flock is out of the poultry house, and proper cleaning contributes to a better hygiene. After rolling up/un-rolling the manure belt, a winch can be used to return/unroll the manure belt to its original position.
