Organic Poultry Houses for Layers in the Netherlands
We’re proud to share a new project featuring two organic houses for layers with free-range access, equipped with the innovative Comfort 2.0 Aviary System from VDL Jansen.
The open, multi-tier Comfort 2.0 system is designed to provide optimal animal welfare, efficient egg production, and a sustainable solution for modern poultry farming. With its smart layout and easy management features, Comfort 2.0 ensures both hens and farmers benefit from a comfortable and productive environment. The Comfort 2.0 comes standard with an integrated manure belt, designed to automatically remove manure. This ensures optimal hygiene and significantly improves air quality within the housing environment.
In addition, this project includes the Autoshov manure removal system, which automatically pushes manure from underneath the system to the cross conveyor. This ensures a cleaner environment, reduces labor, and improves overall efficiency in manure handling.
